Google Ads and My Business Hijackers Are Calling

We receive queries from our clients and local businesses that Google has called them because their business listing needs to get verified or they are not showing up on search results. At times it could be an automated robo call asking you to please hold for the next Google representative or it could be a person from the Philippines or India causing you unwarranted worry and fear with respect to your on-line search presence or Google My Business listing. They will eventually either tell you that you will receive an automated call with a 5 digit PIN from google which they will ask you for or they will ask for your credit card number. There are the call centres which are dedicated to these scams. They sound official and may create a concern that your ads aren't performing or that your Google My Business listing needs verification or improvement. Their goal is to hijack your account and or take your credit card info or both. My recommendation is to call them out and hang up....or just hang up as soon as you hear the word Google. Again, Google will NOT call you or your business out of the blue.

On another note if you happen to reach out to Google's customer service and provide your call back info, they will call you back confirming your issue. You should remain to always ask them to provide verification by email. A google representative will email you back from a google.com email address. If it's coming from anywhere else mark it as spam and delete.

This is why it's so important to work with a local business or better yet a local Google Partner who is verified and certified by Google to follow Google best advertising practices.

But the truth is, blogging remains a cornerstone of effective digital marketing. A well-written blog does more than fill space on a website—it builds authority, improves search engine visibility, and connects businesses with the audiences they want to reach.

You interact with it every day. It's on your phone, your laptop, and your television. From the moment you check the news in the morning to the video you stream before bed, you are surrounded by digital media. But what exactly is it? Simply put, digital media is any form of media that uses electronic devices for its creation, distribution, and viewing.

You post. You wait. You check for likes. Maybe you get a few, but the sales inquiries stay quiet. If this cycle feels familiar, you aren't alone. Most businesses know they need to be on social media, but few know how to make it actually work for them. It often becomes a time-sink rather than a revenue generator. Managing a brand’s digital presence has evolved far beyond posting a nice photo on Instagram once a week. It is now a complex ecosystem of algorithms, community management, and paid strategies. This is where partnering with a digital marketing agency changes the game. This post explores why going it alone might be holding you back and how professional expertise transforms social media from a chore into your most powerful business asset.
